Ironman x 2 (Inc. World Champs)
"Can't express my appreciation to my coach enough for supporting me through full two distance ironman triathlons in the past two years- Barcelona & Nice (World champs). It still all seems surreal!
I had never previously experienced coaching but for such an extreme challenge, it proved invaluable - not only for keeping me on track with a structured training plan but for all the emotional support too. For believing in me when my anxious mind tried to tell me otherwise!
Training for an endurance event is just as much about training mind as it is body!
If you are considering coaching or are unsure, please give Nathan @ NSTri a follow to find out more! Thank you."

"When we decided to look for a coach we knew we wanted someone patient, given the life we both live. Someone who understands the need for a training life balance and even more someone who understood women. Normally I would also go for a women. ALWAYS a woman. But we ended up with this freak, he winds me up. On purpose. Sends more voice notes than I do, but trained someone who was untrainable to smash a 70.3. He’s a small reason (along with his partner) I got through this weekend. I might keep him for another season….."

"I can't thank Nathan enough for his incredible support throughout this journey! He made everything easier by handling the planning and allowing me to stay fully focused on the tasks at hand. Whenever life or work pulled me off track, Nathan was always there to get me back on course.
His thoughtful and attentive coaching approach kept me motivated and accountable, ensuring I never lost sight of my goals. Nathan’s guidance has been invaluable. Thank you, champ!

Would I recommend Nathan as a Triathlon coach? Yes! His support encouragement and accountability have kept me going even when I don’t want to get up and get training. Nathan has coached me for the last year and a half, which has been a real boost to my own training, motivation and results in the events I have signed up for. When I have questions about training Nathan has been able to answer them quickly and explained it in a way that is easy to understand. After having got injured in a freak accident in a race this season, Nathan was there to provide support and encouragement to help me rebuild my confidence about getting back in the water. The 1:1 sessions we have had are a real benefit as we are able to unpick any poor technique I have and come up with a plan to improve it. Here’s to next season and bigger and better things!

‘After training for a full in ‘22 solo with a photocopied training plan from don finks book, checking off the boxes each day/week, I survived and completed challenge Roth adequately without too many issues, but would have liked a better time with some more consistent training and external input to support the experience, however you do only really know how to deal with a full distance by doing it as it’s such a personal experience.. following Roth , life changed in many ways, I needed accountability and time was much more limited. I’ve know Nathan for a number of years and decided that he would be great as that person to become the nag and telling off if I didn’t train enough or hard enough.. because as much as I have the ultimate athlete dream of being fast and strong, with all the time in the world to train.. life just gets in the way, so I worked with Nathan to create a smarter harder plan to make the most of the time available to train for a 70.3 with specific goals and focuses. Nathan understands the key is balance, but will also get tough if words need to be had about progress in general or specific sessions.. however he will always feedback professionally and sensitively. Sometimes with the right amount of toughness to get my ass back in gear and tell me what I already know but need to hear it out loud to get going again! 1 year down with Nathan and onwards and upwards to the next year of training and shenanigans.

First time Ironman - Italy 2024
After signing up for my first full IronMan a year ago, I realised I should probably take my training a bit more seriously. Nath was recommended by a several people so I contacted him and have been working with him since! During that time, I ran a half marathon PB, a marathon PB, came 2nd in my age group for an Olympic distance tri, completed T100 London… and became an IronMan! Nath has listened when I was worried, has been flexible with sessions with work and family commitments and adjusted sessions when I was fatigued or when I needed to push more. He provides regular feedback on my sessions and ‘checks in’ at least every week. He’s done so much more than provide training plans, Nath has mentored, supported and encouraged me to accomplish things this year that I didn’t know I could achieve. I’m already looking forward to 2025 and what we’re going to accomplish!
